Anime movie recomendations.

Well, since we all are struck with boredom a lot of times during this pandemic, i trought i would recomend a few anime movies to watch.

This list is just my own personal preference of which i could remember right now, and is in no particular order. I will a few movies with a little description about them.

I personaly watch my anime on ˝Gogoanime˝ site ( it has adds which are anoying buth it has pretty much everything and quality of video is good ), buth i can also recommend: Kissanime, Crunchyroll, Myanimelist and Soul-anime etc.

At end of the list i say a few short words about my own opinion of every movie, and i will rate them from 1 to 10.

Hope you watch some of them and find them interesting, just as i did, enjoj.

--Bakemono no ko ( The Boy and the Beast )--

Genre: Adventure, Supermatural.

The Boy and the Beast is a Japanese movie that came out back in 2015, buth it has great animations, a good story it follows, and good character development troughout the movie. A boy named Ren just lost his mother, and with no news about his father he refuses to live with his legal guardians, he flees onto the streets stealing food to survive and hiding on the streets. It is there where he meets a bearlike beast named Kumatetsu and his companion, Ren. 

Then Ren goes to the beast world with them and Kumatetsu takes him in as his disciple, training him in martial arts and swordsmanship. And there, an amazing story about a boy being in a world in which he didn´t belong beguns. As much as some beasts didn´t like an idea of a human boy being Kumatetsu´s disciple, they stayed together and in the end it proves to be their salvation because Ren would in the end save both the human and the beast worlds.

--Sword of the Stranger--

Genre: Action, Adventure, Historical, Samurai.

Sword of the Stranger is a Japanese movie that came out in 2007, buth again, don´t think it is bad because it is 13 years old, the movie has good animation, and amazing swordfight scenes and animations.The movie follows Kotaro, a boy who is hunted by a group of Ming swordsmen for a sinister purpose. Among the group is a fearsome westerner named Lou-Lang whose only desire is to find a worthy oponent. Kotaro and his dog found Nanashi, a nameless ronin whose violent past has led him to forbid drawing his sword again. 

Nanashi runs away with Kotaro and his dog from the merciless Ming swordsmen, buth in the end Nanashi is forced to draw his sword and clash in battle with them to protect Kotaro. Lou-Lang, a fearless Ming swordsman is thrilled to have found such a great warrior to be his oponent, buth will Nanashi be strong enough to save Kotaro in the end?

--Hotarubi no Mori e--

Genre: Drama, Romance, Shoujo, Supernatural.

Hotarubi no Mori e ( Into the Forest of Fireflies´s Light ), is a Japanese movie that came out in 2011, it is a little on the short side, being only 44 minutes long. Hotarubi no Mori e is a romantic story with a sad ending about a young girl named Hotaru and her friendship with Gin, a strange young man wearing a mask, who she meets in an enchanted forest where spirits linger, in a mountain forest near her grandfather´s country home. Hotaru learns that her friend is supernatural and that touching Gin will cause him to dissapear forever. Hotaru returns every summer to spend time with Gin, and their relationship matures, as both struggle with limitations. 

As the years go by, Gin hardly ages at all while Hotaru matures, going from a little girl to a young woman. Hotaru begins to struggle, wondering about their relationship and future together, since, Gin apears to be a ghost, which, if she touches will dissapear forever. Hotaru, upon reaching highschool, goes back to her grandfather´s countryside home hoping to see and spend time with Gin, not knowing that by coincidence or fate, that will be the last summer she sees him.

--Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki ( Wolf Children )--

Genre: Fantasy, Slice of Life.

Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki ( Wolf Children ) movie came out in 2012, again first of all animation is good, and most important it has it´s story which develops during the film. The story follows a young mother Hana who is left to raise two half-human half-wolf children, Ame and yuki, after their werewolf father dies. While on college Hana falls in love with an enigmatic man, The man reveals that he can transform into a wolf, and they later have two wolf children, a daughter Yuki and a son Ame. Their father is killed in an accident while hunting food for the children. 

Life as a single mother is difficult for Hana, Yuki and Ame constantly switch between their human and wolf forms, and hana has to hide them from the world. Hana moves the family to the countryside away from prying neighbors, and struggle to repair their old house. She learns to farm sufficiently with the help of a local old man Nirasaki, since they struggled to survive on their own. As time passes and the children grow Yuki starts going to school and making friends, buth Ame embraces his wolf side and goes off to the woods to learn about the forest and what it means to be a wolf, just as his father used to embrace that side.

--Summer Wars--

Genre: Comedy, Sci-Fi.

Summer wars movie is from 2009 with good animation all around, buth also a very different and interesting animation in the part when they enter the virtual world called Oz. Our main character Kenji Koiso a young student with a gift for mathematics and a part-time moderator in the massive computer-simulated virtual reality world called ˝Oz˝. One day Kenji is invited by fellow Natsuki Shinohara to participare in celebrating his great-grandmother´s Sakae 90th birthday in Ueda. After coming there Natsuki introduces Kenji to his relatives, he also meets Natsuki´s half-great-uncle and a computer expert who has been living in United States since stealing the family fortune 10 years ago. 

Kenji then recieves an e-mail with a mathematical code and cracks it, however his actions accidentaly activate Love Maching, a virtual intelligence device which uses Kenji´s accaunt and avatar to hack the infrastructure causing widespread damage. Kenji then uses his knowledge as the moderator to go into the wirtual reality world Oz and confront the Love Machine, trying to stop it.

My short opinion:

Every of these movies is good in their own way and deserve to be watched, there are different genres so 

i hope u will find at least one of them worth your time.

1. Bakemono no ko, this movie has a good story and character development, it keeps your atention for most of the film and has some fight scenes so it is not boring. 

My personal rating 1-10 is a solid 9,5.

2. Sword of the Stranger, it is mostly an action, fight movie, and in that department it doesn´t let you down, it has a good buth maybe boring story about protecting the helpless boy kinda thing, it keeps the viewers atention because something is constantly going on. 

My personal rating 1-10 is 9.

3. Hotarubi no Mori e, a romantic story about a girl and a ghost, which has good character development especialy since the main character grows up during the movie, buth a little cliche and sad ending, and is not too long, which is good for this movie. 

My personal rating 1-10 is 7.

4. Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki, good story, good character development, and overall interesting movie, buth it may not be interesting for everyone since it is Slice of Life genre.

My personal rating 1-10 is 8,5.

5. Summer wars, has an intersting story that the film follows, and is certainly not boring, it has if i might say to me at least refreshing animation while in virtual world ( as seen on 2nd pic.).
